This song is a bluesy little number involving sexy sevenths and seamless key changes. It is in 4/4 time, which I think is a really nice touch.
The song is about a girl who was in a car that was stopped next to me at a stop light one time. We both smiled at each other at the same time. Then the life turned green and we both sped off, never to see each other again. I think this was a really profound picture of how we often interact with one another. We are so quick to take joy in the company of someone, and yet so easily we can just choose to forget about it and move on.
