The song I’m choosing is about the feeling of looking forward from a place of depression. The lyrics center on the experience of things being not okay in the moment, where the world feels heavy and hard to face, but they also look forward to the future with hope. Though it comes from a rather melancholic place, it also holds a very positive tone; things may not always be okay in the moment, but I’m on my way to a someday when the world will feel lighter again.
