“'Ephesians 4:1-6' is a song written to help TWU students memorize this year’s theme scripture together. As a chapel leader, I envision worship teams using their ministry to promote unity in the student body. The vision: have a song unique to 2016-2017 TWU students. The object representing my song is a Bible I have carried with me for many years. The song is upbeat and rhythmic, and the lyrics are simply the text of the verse. Singing “Ephesians 4:1-6” in chapel has been different than singing other worship songs because the words of the verse are specific to our campus right now. My desire is for TWU students to know and remember God’s word together, cultivating a sense that the Holy Spirit is at work in us through the scriptures, and uniting us around these words."
