"This song is a brief glimpse into the early stages of a new relationship, particularly that single-minded preoccupation with spending time together that can lead a couple to make absurd sacrifices on sleep for just one more moment together—and then another, and another, until the sun comes up and the time to go home for the night has long since come and gone. Wrapped up together with a bluesy, easygoing, acoustic guitar driven groove, the song fits perfectly with a carefree mood and a sunny day!

Time (or the lack thereof) is one of the consistent themes of both my life and this song, so I felt the clock to be a fitting representation of that common ground."
